Space Exploration
Many people think that space exploration is a waste of money but, it is actually very useful. It has helped us better understand medicine and electronics. Even though it may cost a lot of money it has helped us not only understand other planets but, also our own. There are many examples of ways space exploration has helped us such as, understanding the creation of the planets, our universe, and other galaxies.
In 1945, Sir Arthur C. Clarke broadcast the idea of satellite communication and then we found a reason to leave the Earth. As space-exploration ideas moved to the drawing board it eventually resulted in blasting rockets and spaceships such as Apollo-13 towards the planets. One of the first satellites was Explorer 1, officially known as Satellite 1958 Alpha. Telstar was also one of the first satellites to be launched but, unlike Explorer 1 it was a communication satellite. It was launched in 1962 and is still in orbit today.
Today we know so much more than before exploring space was possible. We now have a better understanding of cancer. It has also affected our ability to predict the weather and natural disasters. The weather satellites that we have stationed orbiting the Earth help us see future predictions, other satellites help us with communicating globally. In the past the understanding of space was limited because we didn’t have very advanced technology. Now our understanding is much better and will only continue to improve. I think that in the future we will be able to travel into space much faster and easier. Even though many people think that space exploration is a waste of time and money, it has helped us learn many things.
