Persuasive Essay: Ninjas

Some people don’t believe that Ninjas were useful because they aren’t needed anymore. That doesn’t mean that they were never needed in Japan and other countries. Ninjas are specially trained to be stealthy and smart. Ninjas were useful because they were a great help to Japan in the 14th century and later on.
They were protectors of Japan for many reasons. Ninjas served their rulers and were very faithful. They did what they had to do without question so they made good spies and assassins. Ninjas made great assassins because they were specially trained to be the best at what they do.
Ninjas were very stealthy for obvious reasons. They needed to be stealthy to be good spies and to be discrete when traveling to opposing territories. They specialized in sabotage, assassination, and espionage. They helped gain information about other countries or territories.
Their job was somewhat the same as warriors but there were obvious differences. They both fought for their country but their jobs were different. Ninjas and Warriors were both trained but they had different training. Ninjas and warriors might have been a somewhat the same but their differences outweigh the similarities.
Even though there is no real need for Ninjas they were very useful, skilled people. They were used in 14th century Japan and later on. Ninjas are very good to have on your side because they can gain inside information for you. They served their rulers with loyalty. Ninjas were very useful back in the 14th century.

Character Analysis
Ponyboy is the youngest in the Greasers gang. The book The Outsiders describes Ponyboy as a nice, sweet, and caring boy. He is 14 years old, but has experienced losses in his family. In the book Ponyboy is scared when the Socs jump him, he can still remember them saying “need a haircut, greaser?”
In the beginning of the book Ponyboy is a 14 year old boy who doesn’t use his head. He is walking home from a movie when he gets jumped by the Socs. The Socs are very menacing and volatile. The Socs wear expensive cloths like madras shirts, they have expensive cars, and they have money. When the gang arrives the Socs run away and they go back to Ponyboy to see if he’s okay. Darry tells Ponyboy that “you don’t ever think, not at home or anywhere it counts.”
In the novel Ponyboy changes from a smart, nice boy to a boy who doesn’t get good grades and is totally out of everything. When Johnny dies Ponyboy starts to not care about school or anything, he is bedridden for a long time, and when people bring up Johnny he says he’s not dead. When Ponyboy is talking to Randy he says “I killed him. I had a switchblade and I was scared they were going to beat me up.”  He also believes Johnny isn’t dead. In the end Ponyboy accepts the truth and learns to move forward.
In the end Ponyboy starts to realize that Johnny is dead and that Johnny was the one who killed Bob. He starts to care about school again and life in general. He gets his grades up and starts to care about life again. This change in Ponyboy was good because he can go on with his life and not worry about Bob anymore.
I think Ponyboy will go on to being whatever he wants to be. I think he will get a scholarship and go to college. Ponyboy will probably move to the country because he said he always wanted to. Ponyboy has been through a lot, he had to see his friend die and he had to go to the police and confess without knowing what would happen.
